Significant Reduction in Patient Readmissions After Implementation of Force Therapeutics in Total Joint Arthroplasty (TJA) Procedures
Health technology platforms are an efficient resource to help improve patient care overall, but can specifically play an important role in reducing readmission rates and costs of care. By educating patients on how to identify infection and other recovery complications and remotely connecting patients with their clinicians, patients can directly communicate questions and concerns to their care teams without requiring an in person visit. The purpose of this whitepaper is to examine how hospital readmission rates changed before and after implementation of Force Therapeutics, an episode based digital care platform and research network at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP).
